hey guys i wana try to put together a small box for a 8inch sub. i could use a drill,a jigsaw at this time. both have to work and get the job done. as far as price im not sure but has to b less then what walmart will charge.

oh yea but i dont have the money and im sure someone has somthing there not using. i know there is alot of guys that buy new tools or get new stuff. sh it i would b happy with your basic drill and a black and decker jig.

This. If you go the cheap route, you will use the tools a few times and they will most likely fail quickly. Buying solid tools is an investment and if you buy quality stuff it will last for years and always be there when you need them.

im on ebay there buyit now is good but its almost 20.00 to ship. mayb craigslist . well see i will bump this to see if some one has some tools they dont need. tbh i will take any tools so i can build a box. even left over glue /screws. thanks

I was in a bind and needed a jigsaw so I went to Freds dollar store and bought one for $20 bucks. It got the job done. But I dont expect it to last... You could check your local dollar stores and such. But like I said, it may get you through this project, but quality tools are a good investment.

i work for walmart and i got 10% off. i can get a nice jig and some othere basic stuff. i would need 2 horses and some clamps . i was told there might b some package deals over the next few weeks.

go to lowes, about 80 bucks and youve got a jigsaw and drill and all youll need is 5-10bucks in accessories and youll be set.

You dont need to waste money on saw horses either, i usually just use the table setup in my shed or just cut on top of an old sub box laying on the floor.

dont have anythign like that. i live in a aparment we have a small porch that we used to have a table and chairs but it was thrown away a few years back. i would do my cuts out side then do the rest in side. i wana build the hole thing then do the sub cut out. so what eles can i use to rest the wood on . i need ideas

you could use 5 gallon buckets, theyre a little cheaper than saw horses

yeah good call with the buckets, I live in an apt as well. I just threw 4 clamps on the railing outside and it held the mdf fine. Definitely going to be cheaper to hit up CL or maybe garage sales.
