oh ok I gotcha lol..

I guess that corded one is way to go..

But based on its reviews, it does not heat up enough?

I can just get something better under 20 bucks when I go to the store later I guess

Yeah I wouldn't go with a battery powered one, from experience they are terrible, take a while to heat up, and don't last very long. If you want a cordless I'd go with Butane preferably one by Weller because I've tried them before but it seems radio shack makes one as well that looks like it would work just fine

And 8oz is a pretty large amount of solder, do you plan on using this like daily? Lol

No it does not get very hot but if you have a little patience and are only do a little bit of soldering it will work fine. you just have to wait a little longer for it to heat up.

Or you can buy a higher wattage one and it will get hotter and be better if you are going to be soldering a lot. I have four or five irons around the house depending on what I need it for.

Listen to me.... This thing works great for general soldering crap. Way better than a $10 radio shack POS.
