i did not open it yet, it is a xmas gift. i want to play it but i have to wait. how u set all this up? do i just turn it out with out a game and go in to the setings and go from there?

It is pretty self explanitory when you get in there. Only thing you might have to do is setup the wireless network, but it will scan for that automatically once you set it up for that.

thanks, im not sure if i should go with wifi or just connect from my modem. if i go with wifi and the connection is not so good for mod2 is it as easy as goin in to the settings an switching to broadban???

If your modem is right there I would do direct connect.

its right near my tv. i wana move my main tower near my tv i have a dvi-d to dvi-d on its way so i can go from my video card to my tv.the ps3 wont allways b connected to the modem. if i just connect it when i wana play will i have to keep seting it up? thanks

So you just have a modem and no router? (i.e. only 1 plug for an ethernet cable, so only 1 thing with internet). You can buy a cheap ethernet switch (a wireless router without the wireless) or just get a router. A switch will cost you less than 20 bucks on newegg and will allow you to leave your PS3 connected all the time (along with like 7 other things)

i have a router well i had one it stoped workin a few months back. i been using some that lives near me wifi for my music pc and my laptop. my main pc is connected from the modem. i could just get another router i would say 90% of people i talked to about ps3 said a direct connect from my modem is better then a wifi. so a router will b my next thing to get.

i got my hdmi cable to its pretty **** nice for 5.00 to my door. 10 feet with gold connection.
