Hey guys, I am wanting to get a box made for my 2 12" L5 kickers. I am thinking about getting 2 seperate boxes if it wouldn't cost much more to build? Because I may take these speakers out of my car and stick them in my Jeep occasionally so I would turn them around so that the vents were on the bottom instead of the side.
Either way, I want to get them as loud as I can - I am guessing the more airspace the better? I am not sure what hz to tune them to but I have been seeing a lot of 38 hz?
I don't know if it has to be a particular size or not to sound good but the sizes I can work with for single boxes are: 17" height, 20 1/2 wide, and however deep you want to make it pretty much.
So if it was a dual box it'd be 41" wide, 17" height, and however deep. But I want 2 boxes I think so it'd be 20 1/2" wide, and 17" height. If it would sound better smaller that is fine, those are just my max dimensions. And yes I want them to be ported and be as loud as it can get.
I am not looking for no high end box(es) that are going to cost me an arm and a leg, I would just rather get a box made on here by one of the forum members rather than buying a prefab one. You can send me a price quote if you want via PM.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
