i hear ya but if you have the pioneer premier 490 its the cable that comes in the box with the unit..

yep it should work. my friend bought it new. then i bought it from him. in the process i forgot to get the cable from him. he lost it and now i need it i egay'd a ipod and i love how well u can control the ipod so easily from the h.u.

if the ipod is a 4th gen as mine is you wont be able to charge it without buying an adaptor if you want the cable i will pm you my paypal...

i am not sure i just know and it says on site if you have a 4th gen and some other newer things the cord fits it wont charge them without the adapter but it does the 3rd and older ones..
