LOL! Yep-- one of 'em in the back of my prelude. It is an OLD sub...like I got it back in 1997 or 98. Even then I had to order the **** thing and I wish I would have just bought two when I had the chance. I know I could get a better sub today but I am a cheapskate and want to stay with something that has served me so well over the last few years. It has been in four different boxes and it still just pounds it's litte heart out to this day. ok now that you mention it i think i do remember seeing a few 10 w4's, just a few though. forgot all about them, id only seen them once and i used to work for a jl dealer.

ya... you can actually still get specs and info on em if you go to JL audios web site, subwoofers then look for the link on the bottom left that says "discontinued." anthony has 2 kids, one on the way, a new house, 3 cars and $7k in his system and he doesnt cry about it.

I guess Mr. Anthony has made better career/life choices than I. Being a single mother, it is more important for me to make sure my children have food in their belly, a roof over their heads, dental appointments, etc. (Not that Anthony doesn't.) But my financial status does not allow me the freedom to plop down $200 to $300+ dollars for a subwoofer/amp, head unit. What I do enjoy is the industry of audio, especially car audio...from the $500 system to the $10,000+ monsters. The desire to save a little money and buy a match to what I currently own is both a financial decision and a dedication to take what I already have and make something more out of it.

And not once did I "CRY" about it. I simply stated that I wished to duplicate my current equipment... even us 'old people' in the industry can make educated decisions. I personally dont need a $5K system to rock my car on the way to work in the mornings.. I am one of the old fashioned strange one's I suppose... I love the bass but without the clarity of the rest of the music, whats the use?

So please, SATX, if you are not here to offer consrtructive criticism then please keep it to yourself. DO NOT Flame me or try to make me feel like I dont belong because I don't subscribe to your mentality.
