Why the 9886 instead of the 9887? To go active on the 9886 it requires the Imprint where as the 9887 does not.

My mistake, I thought It was active w/TA without using the imprint. I edited original post to reflect changes.

The more I reasearch these Alpine's, It appears that I need the Imprint to do what I want no matter which model.

The 9887 can go active and has t/a. Isn't that what you were looking for?

Damit! It's already sold. From what I have researched it looks like I will need to run "Imprint" to have it do what I want. Thanks for the info. I was to slow. lol
