Man i just got a 80prs local for $150 a few days ago(hell of deal) and i have to say its a very nice headunit! I was just going to use it temporarily until I found a nice single indash touchscreen unit but I think im going to stick with the 80prs.

that is a nice find, im happy to even see a kenwood around here everything is so cheap. Come on make some profit!!! looking at the clarion cz702 because new nothing will beat that price but just want something diffrent

The HU works it just may or may not have a PICO fuse noise issue. Easy fix if it does

The 80prs you can hot swap RCAs and not blow the pico fuse but as with any electronic stuff can still happen. T2 i happen to love premiers but it looks like the ground loop only takes 80-85 % of the engine noises

The 80prs does not have a pico fuse.

And on older units a drop of solder connecting one side to the other side of the blown pico fuse usually solves the problem

80 has like a resistor or cap or some shit instead of a "pico". It can most certainly blow. And incidentally... so does the 99. Whoops.

Alpine 9887 can be found in your budget too. Eclipse 7200?

[Edit: But if you want the 80, man.... get it. It's worth it. Buy once, cry once. It's far and away the best you'll find at the price point if SQ and control is of any concern. 2nd choice, as was mentioned would be the cz702.]
