WTB: MTX Thunder 500D or similar

I'm looking for a good condition MTX Thunder 500D or other similar quality amp. Must be in solid working condition - cosmetic blemishes are ok.

Requirements:

- 200+ RMS mono @ 4 ohms

- low-pass filter built-in

- not a POS

Yeah, the Thunder 500D is old school but I have one and really like it so I figure I'd look for another. I'm not opposed to other options so tell me what you got and what your price is. Pics appreciated.

I'm putting a relatively cheap system in my GFs car and don't want to spend JL 500/1 prices because its simply not needed for this getup. I just need to power a single 12.

are you looking for power at 4 ohms? If you are, a cheap 2 channel would be a better bet for you. otherwise you will be paying for larger 2ohm power that won't get used.

Oh so true. A bridgeable 2-chan is perfectly acceptable as long as the power @ 4 ohms is 200+. It would be nice, though, to be stable to 2 ohms to allow for expansion. I'm open to any qualified solution.

Look for an MTX 4250D, couple floating around on ebay. I put one in my sister's car and have another as a spare...great little amp. It is rated at only 175 @ 4 at 14.4 V but they usually put out about 120% rated power

agreed also the 250 d is the same amp. I owned one and loved it.
