Go with a CVR, it's cheap and they get rather loud for what they are and need small amounts of power.....

Ive got an old Rockford Fosgate P2 10" S8 sub. Trim ring, 200RMS/400 Peak, but its good old school Fosgate. Should take 300RMS all day long if you tune it right.
