WTB: Just ONE tweeter.

Basically, i have an old image dynamics component set that i'm getting new surrounds for at the moment and one of the tweeters is blown. The other one is completely fine.

I'm wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation or has an extra component tweeter just laying around. I'll buy it!

GL gonna be a tough find.. Why not just buy a new pair from madisound or partexpress that are similar in specs to the Id's??

i would just buy another set , I have a mbquart dtk-30 you can have but sound wise it won't match up very well I don't think?

don't mix and match stereo drivers you will hate yourself for it.

if you know the cross over point and slope I will help you find replacement tweeters that will sound the same or better

Thanks for the honest advice guys. I'm really not sure what the slope is or the crossover point is but it's part of a component set im trying to rebuild that i found in my door panel after i was wondering why the woofer sounded rough. I can't find any real information on the speaker online. I also wouldn't know how to figure that out but i'll google it.

I want to get a new set but i've been looking and my options seem to basically be a really cheap set or a minimum of $150 for something nice. The one tweeter that is still good sounds reaaaaly nice. and my entire system i've put together on the cheap by buying and selling on craigslist and have avoided biting the bullet on pretty much anything. I might have to start doing that though.

i'm a noob at this stuff so this was my best guess.
