Ive got $300 so I should be able to get a top notch HU. Must be 3 way active capable, have time alignment, and iPod compatibility for a 2nd gen iTouch. Id prefer to offer comes with the required iPod adapter to save me time and trouble but its not necessary.

Looking at a JVC KD-AR8500 or its newer edition JVC SHX750, SHX850, or the SHX950, also looking at the Pioneer 880PRS/800PRS. I prefer the one with the black face. Anything with the above requirements will be considered though.

Aye sir hehe, youre just as anal about your sound as I am. I havent had the time to try active yet but I figure I will this winter maybe. Never had an eclipse though. You might try to find a 9855

Not really a big fan of Alpine as it is. Ive read the Alpine's biggest reason for being popular is its cheap price for the features, not because it actually sounds good.
