Not sure that 35w would really make those speakers *shine*. But, I can vouch for the Orion Cobalt amps. I had a Cobalt 465 (same as above, but 65w x 4). It lasted me 5 strong years hooked up to various mids, highs, and subs. I abused the heck out of it and it kept on going! I would still be using it had I not gotten different stuff. I also had a 235 (same as above, but 35w x 2)... it did okay, but didn't really do my 4 6.5's justice like the 465 did.look @ the orion cobalt I have in my f/s thread below.........nice, cheap 4 channel!!!http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=255762
35 rms watts is plenty for a set of 6x9's............maybe not a good set of comps, but they powered my girls 6x9's AWESOME!!!!Not sure that 35w would really make those speakers *shine*. It didn't have much rated power, but it sure made 4 6.5's and 2 12" subs sound GREAT!
Definitely adequate. But, there was a BIG difference between the 35 vs. 65 watts. Of course, this major difference didn't come into play until you cranked up the volume knob.35 rms watts is plenty for a set of 6x9's............maybe not a good set of comps, but they powered my girls 6x9's AWESOME!!!!
