why 2 ohms? did you already buy d2 subs?

its the same thing, 1000w at 1 ohm is the same as 1000w at 2 ohms. only difference is youll probably spend more finding a 1000@2 than 1000@1

Doesn't running the amp at a 1ohm load make it "work harder" and get hot?

I'm sorry but everywhere I've read it says that a 1ohm load will cause more heat and more distortion

it does if the amp is designed to run at 2, but 1000w will be 1000w and (x) amount of amperage pull regardless if its at 1,2,3,4,5 ANY ohm load. it is the same thing.

you really cant up buget? what subs you planning on getting? an amp is probably something id try to get wuality of becasue the amp is what has the ability to fry your subs and well thats not good.

nice amp and quality, plus headroom is always a good thing. just becasue teh amp does 1800 doesnt mean you have to use them

How do I go about not using all 1800 watts if my subs are wired to 1ohm?
