the main unit,the suction cup holder, and the power plug, that's all you need. Has served me well for a couple years, super easy to use. Someone gave me a newer one so I don't need both.

okay, it's got the whole US map, but it's a couple years old. Tomtom charges $10 to update the maps.

yep, but it only makes a difference if the roads your traveling have drastically changed over the last two years.
