do these have a strong mid bass? i am looking to pick up some higher bas for the rock and metal i listen to, my sub box is tuned to 28 hz.

It depends on what your definition of "strong" midbass is. I can say they're very nice components that'll get loud and sound clean. I think the price is fair too...
