yeah, avoid those probably. maybe AP? Or take a cut in power. Get an amp that puts out maybe 1200-1500 RMS, but cleanly.where can i find pop corn sounds at?
Those amps are crazy good. The guy I bought one of my Skars off of ran two Skar VVX D2's on one, said it was great. How do you like yours?http://www.caraudio.com/forums/amplifier-classifieds/571446-fs-soundstream-dtr1-3400-25ohm-stable.html
going to be more around $345shipped though. PM for specs
edit: you dont find popcorn sounds. "Owner" was a scammer and amps failed.. Im sure if you want one Nic is willing to sell one of his golden ones for 4x's the price.
In all seriousness, I dont want to sell it. Ran 2 of them, and made a few attempts at trades, but I honestly was never able to find another amp that compared. Dont understand why these arent alot more popular (their unique design maybe?).. anyways, truely THE best amp I have ever ran, and one of the best I have ever seen performance wiseThose amps are crazy good. Yeah, that design was what threw me off. Quite hard to mount, and why are they straight up?! Lol, is it more convenient when you have a lot of space/more than one of em? Either way, that small issue probably is forgotten once they get hooked up and pounding. In all seriousness, I dont want to sell it. Ahh, that makes quite a bit of sense! Soundstream, with their innovative ideas.... Lol. And sorry for the thread jack as well. I tend to do that sometimes. The amps come with 4 plastic "feet" that can be mounted to lay the amp down (like every other one) or have it stand up. the idea behind the design was that by standing the DTR (Tower series) up you could save space. When space is an issue one can always mount a regular amplifier to the box, but its not good to have that kind of abuse directly impacting a amp. In my previous install it was very convenient to have "the worlds first upright amplifier" as I only had 4'' from my box to the rear hatch.. the DTR's measure 3.75 wide when standing upright
SORRY for the thread jack.
