Look around eBay for a Kenwood KAC-606 2 channel unit, King.

They can normally be sourced pretty cheap - I just recently sold one to SAG3 on this forum for $55/shipped and I made a couple of bucks over what I paid for it.

They're 50w X 2 @ 4 Ohms / 75w X 2 @ 2 Ohms / 150w X 1 @ 4 Ohms mono bridged. Small footprint too.

never used a kenwood amp....so from someone who has...did you like it?...any problems? etc.?

Well - that particular model, the KAC-606, was never actually in use in any of my setups. I bought it on eBay, along with a KAC-846 4 channel for a project that the intended recipient backed out of.

So I just sold 'em on here to try and recoup what I invested in them.

On the other hand - I have used several KAC-846s in various setups - including the one in my ex-landlady's Camry, and they've performed pretty flawlessly for me.

(I look at the 846 like a pair of Siamese-twin 606s ~ power output is exactly double that of a 606 - 50w X 4 @ 4 Ohms, 75w X 4 @ 2 Ohms, and 150w x 2 @ 4 Ohms mono bridged...main difference being the 846 has variable LP and HP crossovers and the 606 has an On/Off LP filter fixed @ 80Hz)

I've run several different models of Kenwood amps from that model year (1997) and not a single one has ever given me any problems.
