Thats strange that these cars look like this when "fighting" larger trucks... I usually win those fights with my Nissan Sentra of Death.

At first glance to me I was thinking a Holden Commodore (Holden is what GM is known as in Australia) but with the OP being stateside I didn't figure this would be the case. But it reminded me of the Commodore - even down to the hubcaps being the same shape as one of the wheelcover options for the Commodore in recent years........until I noticed the VW emblems in the middle of said wheelcovers....
