this handicapped ***** in a conversion van was on the wrong side of the entrance/exit in a parkinglot trying to get out, (on the left side, instead of the right) so i pull up on her right WHERE I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE, ***** hangs a right and clips my whole front end off. front bumper, fender, part of my radiator, etc. i got their insurance information etc. etc. since i was in a hurry i threw the shit inside my car (bumper etc.) and left. they asked about a police report but i said i was in a hurry and since they had insurance it was no worries.
well i call their insurance THE HARTFORD **** THEM **** THEM **** THEM **** THEM. and they totally ****ed me, made it sound like i was in the wrong because i left. i had no reason to stay, there was no criminal misconduct and i fugred it was fine. 2000 later my car was fixed. out of pocket, from a highschool student. if i wouldn't have been underage they'd never have ****ed me over

When I was stationed out in Cali, I was driving a little too close to the car in front of me on day (well, every day) and it was raining. The car two cars up slamed on his brakes and the car in front of me hit him. I slammed on my brakes and the car behind me hit me and pushed me into the car in front of me.

I would have hit him anyway, but it would have only been a bump. Instead, since the guy hit me, my speed stayed the same and I smacked the guy pretty hard.

The car behind me ran and I didn't get their plates. A few days later, the insurance agent for the guy that I hit calls me and is all like "there wasn't a fourth car, nobody hit you!" I basically told the guy to fuck off and go look at the back of my truck. From then on I told them to contact my insurance agency every time they called.

My company (USAA) deemed it a no-fault accident and didn't pay out anything except to me...

I will be utilizing the insurance, no way I can pay that shit out of pocket. Im thinking that if I can get the check directly from the insurance company, I can just do the work. Should end up being cheaper than the estimate, so Id have extra money left over from it.Sort of looking for the silver lining in a grey cloud or whatever its called.

Just be aware that they may total it since its a 97. My isuszu got totaled because the cost to fix it was $200 above the Kelly's Blue Book value.

If they say that, Ill just tell them to fix it anyway. If they total it out, they would pay the bank for the loan, leaving me without a car, so cant have that.

I never even knew you had the option to have them fix it anyway, even if they say its totalled.

My brother technically totalled my dad's Explorer a couple months back, but he opted to have it repaired rather than hunt for a new one.

Be aware that, at least in Canada, most insurance companies are smarter than you think. They'll take a hefty piece off the value of the settlement if you ask for a check directly. My company says 25% I believe. Go through a body shop if you were going to do it through insurance. Won't cost you anything extra and you KNOW you'll get certified, warranteed work.

Not nearly as bad as it could have been. My back hatch doesnt open, Im thinking its from the bumper being pushed up.

At least noone was hurt.
