would you feed a 12" rl-p 900 watts daily?

well i currently have an autotek mm1400.1=1400@1 ohm and i have 2 12" rl-p's d4 on the way and that would be roughly 500wrms daily off of one amp but i'm considering ordering a 2nd amp. they do 1000@2ohms so that would be between 750-900rms daily to each sub. Would you feel comfortable with that setup for a daily driver?

.......and before someone dumps....yes my electrical is MORE than capable of handling all 3 Autoteks.

I have a TC9 (same as an rl-p just got mine my tc sounds) and im giving it about 850 rms daily. It loves it..

just do the single amp, I doubt the gain in output(which wouldnt be that much) would be worth spending all the money on another amp

hmmmm...so you're saying that a 500-800watt increase in power would not be worth it? I find this a hard pill to swallow.

You said 700watts each off of one amp and then asked about giving it 900. Thats about a 30% power increase.... how much ouput you expect too gain, especially when you can get(or get dam close) full output out of em with 700 each.

actually i said 500 off of one amp, 1400 watts is rated, i'll never actually see that number daily........ and yes i expect to gain alot of output by increasing the power 50-80% per driver.........i simply asked if they could take it.

not to mention that by running the amps at 2 ohms, i'll be takin it easier oon it then if i run one amp at 1 ohm.

dude...you are dense. i never said they would see 1000 each i said from 500 watts each to 750-900 each

if you go from 500 each to 750-900 each that would be a 50-80% increase in power

i'm not trying to be a dick man....but don't you see my point? i said they would see roughly 500 off of one amp and 750-900 off of 2 amps...that is a 50-80% increase in power. i know hwta you are thinking as far as power compression but that certainly isn't going to apply to me in this instance....that would certainly apply if i was already running 2000 watts and was only going to gain 200 watts per sub, but when you talk 50-80% gains then YES the gain should be huge.
