Would you ever ship something on craigslist?

Am trying to sell soemthing. A guy asked where it was made (its an older cb radio) and i answered him. He sent back that he was located in chicago and asked if i could send it to him and he would pay through paypal or moneyorder. Sooo, what do i do? tell him to fck off, or bite and ask him to send a MO and when it clears, wait a week then send it?

Plenty of scams have been done through paypal. (chargeback)

ask for a phone number and talk to him. I dont see how this is a scam.

someone wanted to buy my boston z6's and wanted it shipped to NY. I decided to pass because I'd rather deal with in person and I don't know of the guy's references. Had he been on a forum with several refs, people I can ask, etc. then I would have.

Generally i feel the same way. (This would be the first time ive shipped through craigslist with over 50 transactions.)

However, its only for 40 bucks, and i was just curious what you guys thought.

I have shipped via CL once and it was a positive experience.....I got a Bank Draft and held it for 3 weeks to make sure it cleared. I then shipped the item ($660 to be exact) and he was pleased......

Not sure if I would do it again though do to paypal being the WORST payment option for someone you don't know

Definitely do it. Just have him pay though paypal and tell him you will ship once the money hits your bank account. I cannot imagine how a scam could occur this way.

I have both shipped and had stuff shipped through Craigs. Just be careful, there are still scammers on there but are pretty easily spotted.

I want to have something shipped to me from another state. What if the seller had ebay and paypal account. I had him list it on ebay real quick w/ buy it now. I bought it and payed through paypal.
