I bought this welder: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250552843530&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

and the guy packaged it HORRIBLY and it got some damage. Kind of sucks because it was suppose to be "like new" and I honestly would not have bought it if it was damaged at all... Packaging is newspaper and ONE piece of foam shit, the welder weighs like 75lbs~

yup partial refund tell him 25% at least otherwise he has to pay return shipping and give a refund //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
^^

Explain to them, because of their crappy packaging the like new condition would barely pass for good/fair condition.

I use newspaper sometimes, but thats normally after I wrap in bubble wrap, and double box. Not to mention the guy put all the paper/foam on one side lol. I would contact paypal myself.

Are you selling it now? Other wise just pointing out wrong forum "Car Audio Classifieds" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would for sure ask for some money back thats crappy packing. 25% seems fair thats about the hit you would take on it if you were to resell it. I would also shoot for shipping cost back if you paid for shipped since the packing was a fail..

yeah, I don't know what the fuck happened there...

I was just searching through the Thunderdome trying to find this thread and I was getting pissed! LOL may be a mod can move it to the Thunderdome for me?

if it works, i probably wouldnt complain too much:crap:. I would leave neg. feedback though.
Same..it's ebay..you buy from there..its like drawing a name out of a hat..you never know what the ****s gonna show up. Been there done that..still there and having good luck with ebay for awhile now. I would leave negative feedback..but I would keep it, try doin a little cosmetic touchup..but like any of my tools end up bruised over time. Also, maybe before leaving negative feedback contact the seller and see if he will do a partial refund (i have had sellers actually given me partial back) or raise a complaint if you paid with paypal as 'not as described' - good luck.

that damage looks like pre-shipping though, unless there are holes in the box. those dents are accompanied by scratches and they look like they happened outside a cardboard box.
no, he sent me pics before I bid and it was MINT... the box isn't beat up TOO bad but the sides that took all the damage are the sides that didn't have any packaging material around them...

looks like he took pix when he first got it. not when u were going to buy. i'd totally ask for partial. if not leave bad feedback. and hit up ya bud for some dough to help pay for it.

You can't just leave negative feedback and call it a day. You have to contact him and give him a chance to make it right...if he fails to do so, then leave negative feedback.

If your happy with a 25% refund and he agrees, then do that. If he refuses, then I'd file a claim with paypal. I believe one of the claim reasons is "My item arrived damaged" or something like that...
