I bought this welder: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250552843530&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

and the guy packaged it HORRIBLY and it got some damage. Kind of sucks because it was suppose to be "like new" and I honestly would not have bought it if it was damaged at all... Packaging is newspaper and ONE piece of foam shit, the welder weighs like 75lbs~

Honestly I haven't even checked it yet... I guess I should probably do that! I still have like 20 days to file a paypal claim if it doesn't work. I will probably buy the shit I need and get it all hooked up tongiht and test it out.
Definitely test it out dude...if you only ask for 15% and he gives it to you, only to find out it doesn't work AT ALL...well your screwed

no... this is just a dispute over the cosmetic damage. If I test it and find out it doesn't work I file a claim with paypal and get all my money back. This happened to me once before with an amp I bought, same exact situation... did a dispute over cosmetic, got liek $50 refunded then tested it a few days later and it was non-working so I filed a claim and they gave me the remainder back too

Oh, well that's good...I don't do a whole lot with paypal anymore after they screwed me out of 100 bucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

So, I got every wired and when I went to put the welding wire spool on, the retaining spring is missing. Didn't really think about it until I put the spool on and when I let go teh thing just started spinning like a ***** and about 1/4 came unspooled before I could stop it...

well, he refunded me $77.75... $35 for the shipping I paid since he shipped it like *** and 15% of the $285 I paid for the welder. I ordered 4 of the springs I need since they are like $0.61 each, figured it might be good to have some extras just in case, espescialy for that price! they won't be here until wednesday though as no one has them in stock. Well, actualy, the fukkin Lincoln Distribution center about 8 miles away has a TON of them but they only sell to dealers. the Dealer is placing an order today and added my springs but they won't get the stuff until wednesday as some of it is coming from out of state.

so yeah, all worked out well so far, going to rig something up tonight and test it out. it turned on and sounded great so I doubt there will be any problems. I knwo when the Lincoln 140 at my old work went out it made some crazy noise!

so instead of me going to the distributor and buying them, I have to wait for person A (out of state dist. center that has some stuff person c ordered) to send their stuff to person B before person B can ship the stuff they have in stock (along with the stuff they don't have in stock coming from person A) to person C who can then sell it to me, person D
