Which is why I a) repeated what had already been said that most of Sony's developers have headed to the Xbox 360 because of the complexities of coding on the PS3 so Sony no longer have the GTA available first etc. I do agree on the gameplay though, the sucess of any console will be measured on the quality of its games.
b) I said regardless we all know the PS3 will outselll the Xbox 360 because of its reputation and fanboys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
c) posted stats in reply to a previous post about stats where the PS3 would "own" the Xbox 360
Sony can spout about the cell all they want, but a 5 minute search on Google reveals that the cell is not up to all that much with games, they can spout about HDMI and HD 1080p etc but how many people actually own a TV that can accept a 1080p signal? They can spout about the blu ray drive, but this in itself is a big gamble..........
I actually think MS have made a pretty smart move on not including a built in HD-DVD drive or HDMI/1080p etc. A console lifespan is typically 5 years, at the moment not that many people will have an HDTV. In 5 years time I bet the number of consumers with an HDTV is a huge increase over what it is today, I also would imagine the format war between blu ray and HD-DVD will be done with. MS (and Sony) can then concentrate on technologies that will actually be used.
I would bet that if MS included an HD-DVD drive and 1080p HDMI outputs on the Xbox 360 it would also be costing somewhere around the $600 mark. The console is already going to lose money, so why include things that people cannot take advantage of. By the time HDTV's are commonplace the Xbox 360 and PS3 will be at the end of their lifecycle and most likely 75% if PS3 owners will have never utilized their 1080p outputs etc.
