Why is it so hard to wire my (2) 4ohm dvc subs up to my 4 channel amp. I know have a bad combination of amp and sub choices. The only way I know how to wire it is to use a seperate amp channel for each vioce coil. thats the only way I think I can do it and still use all the voice coils, and get the most power out of my amp.

Does anyone else know how i could wire it to get the most power out of the amp. before you say get a new amp, I am a broke high-schooler:crying:

I just went there and i see how to wire the speakers together but i dont know how to wire it up to my 4 channel amp

Is your amp 2 ohm mono stable on each pair of channels or is it only 4 ohm mono stable on each pair of channels. Answer that and I can tell you exactly how to wire it

man no1 can help you if you dont know enough to help us out. wire each sub down to 2ohms and hook them up to your amp bridged to two channels. If the amp cuts out then it is not 2ohm stable obviously and then i dont no what i would do.

the manual says

max power (2ohms) 150w X 4

rms power (4ohms) 75w X 4

bridged power (4ohms) 300w X 2

is that enough information

yeah well considering i have keyboard tourettes i wont help you out with this simple *** problem you seem to have. Maybe anyone else on this site will help you because that is a very simple "situation"

OK thats enough info for me, its not 2 ohm stable. The best way to hook it up is not to wire one coil to each channel but to actually wire the amp to 8 ohm mono on each pair of channels. Heres how it goes. On one sub take the positive from one coil and wire it to the negative on the other coil. Thats gonna leave you with one positive on one coil and the negative on the other coil not hooked up, those are the wires you run to the amp, bridge 2 channels together using those wires. Repeat on the other sub using the other 2 channels. The reason why I say to do it this way is so if you change the balance on your deck your not going to fad one coil out on each sub.
