So im going to buy the wood for this..but will this work? I dont understand why the dimensions are all kind of different sizes..Its the kicker recommend specs for the L7

It accounts for overhang on the edges. If all the panels were cut so that they were the outer dimensions of the enclosure it wouldn't go together. You have to have joints and the thickness of the material has to be accounted for.
