Would this power 2 Audioque HD3 15's?

I ran 2 powerbass 3000d's on a pair of HD 12''s (the origonals, before they changed the line up) and it loved them.

Im actually selling them too!

I have a hifonics XX-Cyclops that would power 2 hd3 15s quite nicely

4kw @ 1 ohm RMS @ 13 v

id sell it for 800 bucks... its like new ... seen like 15 -20 bucks on it max... not even a scratch on itq

I am working with 2 220A alts and several batts. I was thinking about putting a strapped pair on each sub but i do not know how these amps i have mentioned would like a half ohm load daily. I am not trying to compete so i just want enough power to get these things loud as possible for daily driving, i do not want to try to push the subs too hard because i want them to last me a while. I guess I could have my voice coil config changed to a dual 4 and run 2 PA3000's strapped to each sub.

why not just purchase 2 bigger amplifiers that are strappable for future upgrading??

what would you suggest? the amp or amps will be seeing a final 2 ohm load or .5 ohm load. Throw me some suggestions the subs are dual 2 ohm.

the planet audio/PA amps will run .5 with a STRONG electrical system no problem, if you doubt that, just run higher imp.

Your setup sounds pretty beefy..

For those of you who have experience with the HD3 15's, how much power do they need to get full potential out of them for daily driving without pushing the sub too hard?

These play at .5 strapped ( .25 per amp )

For those of you who have experience with the HD3 15's, how much power do they need to get full potential out of them for daily driving without pushing the sub too hard?

all i can say is that 3k to each coil for daily will be pushing the limits, i throw 5k for burps on them and there close to there limit they may be able to handle 1k more but those are on burps, daily puts more stress on them, im not gonna or need to go with more watts, but I have the 10's. Id say throw 2-2.5k per sub and youll be more than happy.

I ran 6k to my 12''s for burps and they took it fine.

I did 3k daily per sub, and never smelt any coil

So for daily i should be good with a strapped pair of PA A3000's, since i have heard that they put out around 2kw a piece. Or would i be better off saving a little more money and get a little more headroom?
