Would this mess up the staging?

i've found that simplifying sounds much better than over kill. a good 6.5 inch component set up front and leave all the rear fill, etc. out. just my preference. i've tried the whole rear fill thing and have never got it to sound as nice as a single, quality, component set up front.

that goes right back to your original question about throwing off your staging. i'd leave the coaxes completely out and try just the comps. rear fill, when not done right sounds bad. the only possible way i could see a rear fill is for watching movies in the vehicle, and even then, unless you're processing 5.1, it still doesn't do much in that aspect.

sell them on craigslist. try to get 10 dollars under new price. you may get lucky. you can get a decent component set for a little over 100 bucks. you'll be much happier than trying to overdue your system.

Hm, well, they're $110 new MSRP, so if I can get $100 for them, I'll have MOST of the cost covered. Dunno if I'll get lucky enough to get $100 for them. Heck, I see most of them go for $40 on here.
