I have (2) matching hifonics brutus mono amps 1600 rms. I had them turned up loud and was blasting my system before i put my new battery in. My volts dropped real low and the amps started smoking and shut off. The amps do not work now. My question is would it be worth shipping them somewhere to get fixed? if so where? and how much about would it cost me?

Nothing audio related is worth the money...BUT then again I plan on spending about $1600 to upgrade my **** after I get taxes lmao.

Anyways ask yourself...is it worth sending the amps to get them fixed or junk em and buy 2 new amps...which means your out whatever the amps u got right now costed+the price for 2 new amps. BUT figure out why in the hell the amps blew up to begin with before you do anything so you dont waste money on replacing them/fixing them just to have it happen again. I mean putting a new battery in and then having 2 amps both **** up means somewhere you ****ed up...if you dont have a fuse on both power wires for the amps then you really should consider getting them.

It really depends on how much damage there is. You need to upload some gut pics so the repair guys on the forum can take a look...

i dont know alot about amps, but when i took it apart alot of the stuff was blown like the small fuses and stuff.
