Ideal enclosure probably 138-141dBs, but unless your competing sound pressure level is of little importance, its all how it sounds to you. And that setup would probably get loud and you'd probably be satisfied but the newer Type Rs are lightyears better

well, if it is going to be sealed, expect 125-135. numbers just arent easy to come by with sealed boxes. Plus you should look into getting the newer type-Rs.

Dude there are so many variables to how a system will sound that your generalized question is impossible to answer.

My first real setup was 142.x. 140's are not hard to do. . .

But yeah, don't get 04 Type-Rs, get the 05-06's (same thing). And I've never heard of those amps before. . .

they are really good amps. Ill just get the 04 type rs. if it dont sound good to me ill get the newer models cuz i am curious to what it will sound like. The quantums are nice amps they push anything pretty hard.
