Would this be considered an upgrade?

I have a 15" Massive DMX on the way as well a bx2005D. Would u say 3 12" Fosgate HX2s D2s sealed with about 1.4cf each can get louder than 1 15" DMX in 3cf tuned to 34hz? Or would u say it woud not be worth my time...

I'd say go with the 3 12"s.

If your using same amp for both then 3 12's > 1 15"

2 15's > 3 12's

Matters how much power you will have on both setups.

ok so the 3 12"s sealed would get louder than the 1 15" ported? I understand its more surface area but just curious...I had a 15" sealed and then I ported it...it was a nice difference.

I doubt the slight gain, if any, would be worth the trouble.
