im thinking because of the power, probly using the 1 L7 in the right box IMO... ive ran a single L7 on 1k rms and it sounded really good. what kind of ride is it going in

I'm going to go with the L7 over the 2 L5s as well. As for the HDC3 vs. the L7 that would pretty much be a toss up. Essentially, that would come down to box. I do think the L7 would like the mid 20s better than the HDC which would probably be louder in the 40s.

since its going in a trunk id go hdc3 because the box wont have to be as big on it. plus it will sound better then the l7 down to 20hz lol...

HDC3 15 will want 4ft3+ for an enclosure

L715 5ft3+ for an enclosure

2 12L5 5.5ft3+ for an enclosure

Those are just rough estimates and are net volume not gross.
