Worth it to Switch out REV's for RSD's?

So I currently have some Pioneer REV coaxes in the doors off of a Kicker SX600.2. (140 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms). I just picked up some PG RSD components off Towncar for $40. Would it be worth my while to take the doors apart, wire the crossovers, and find a place to mount the tweeters, or should I just resell the RSD's and save some time and make a few bucks?

People can make suggestions all day long, the best thing to do is find out for yourself, that way YOU can determine what you like better. Then when the same question pops up on here later, you will have the first hand experience to answer.

Id say try em'

honestly, i don't feel like taking the doors apart and taking apart the entire car to run another speaker wire to the tweets from the crossovers unless it is going to be worth it.

Hmm, alright. Hopefully they will take the power a bit better as well.
Some people say they take the power well, but usually those are the people running them active. I believe Tcguy is giving them 200rms each. 150mid, 50 tweet, which is overkill if you ask me, but he swears the more power, the better.

Me, I am giving mine 75rms each and running passive. I have already had my tweets cut out on me, but they come back on. Was on Disturbed and thank god for them going into protection mode huh. I have since then lowered my gains.

So seems like active they like a lot of power and passive to stay at recommended power 50rms and maybe can go to 75rms.

Other people will say give them more, but just telling you my expierence with them.

I have amps to run them active but i do not have the crossover capabilities. I am kinda feeling like "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" right now, so I may just wait before I decide what to do. I'm sure I'll get bored one day eventually and switch em out when I've got nothing better to do.

I went from Type R coax to Infinity Perfect 6.1 to RSD65cs because the others were lacking. I couldn't take the sq. I was ready to piss all over these RSD's, but they sound **** good just like everyone said. My EQ helps them to sound their best. I listened to them hooked up just to the CDA-9887 first. Then I hooked up a Soundstream MPQ-7XO and was blown away by the way it cleaned up the sound. I had some cd's that I thought were bad recordings, but the eq made all of them crystal clear without any adjustments. Some are against Eq-ing, but IMO they can help any system. This is my impression after 5 hours sitting in my car listening. I hope they last and don't blow up on me. I run 2 RSD comps for front stage, but like they said we can only make suggestions.

Thanks for your input. Are you running them active or passive? Is the Soundstream EQ only 7 band? I have a Power Acoustik EQ (shitty I know), should I give it a shot and install it with the new RSDs? I have read near the upper limits of the midrange get a little harsh.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't the best speakers I've ever heard. I was strapped for cash and I think I got more than I paid for. I'm running passive and won't be running active for a while. Yeah, only a 7 band, but a night and day difference. I would've got Audiocontrol but couldn't afford it. I don't really hear that harshness. My gains had to be turned down since I'm running that EQ, maybe because of the 8 volt line driver. This might be why I'm not hearing the harshness, but some people have dog ears and can hear every flaw. It's going to be up to you if you install them. I've sat in some SQ comp cars and wasn't impressed.
