the orange z series cadence amps are good amps. does yours have teh two covers on each end that cover the controls on top of the amp?

he wasn't running 30-50hz.The X/O was on FULL, AKA bypassed. he was running his subs full range boosted at 100hz.

No, he set the subsonic on @ 30 Hz. And freq cutoff was @ 50 Hz.

most likely set to full range those other settings weren't active

Check your manual:

"By setting the selector to FULL RANGE, no crossover frequencies will affect the output."

30hz up boosted 12db @ 100hz.

FULL = FULL PASS, over-riding the cutoff frequency.

alil big/long though but hey I've run my amp all day and in the heat, I never had a problem with it.

Hopefully the OP's amp is working the way it's suppose too.
