Worst day ever.

i cringed reading that.

last year i was doing roofing. and we got a commercial job real thin concrete like roof and we were putting new gravel down. i hit a soft spot will carrying a 90 pound bag of gravel. fell through the roof and landed right on a pile of scrap wood.

i got triple fail

1. falling through roof

2. i cushioned the fall for the bag of gravel (with my thighs)

3. when i went to roll over i realized i had a rusty nail in my right *** cheek

not uncommon at all if its commercial

not any attic i've seen built to code while my time working for a commercial general contractor.

Oouch yeah that sounds worse lol

The Tile floor was in the bathroom... which is the floor i landed on. we were working in a Attic which is up some stairs connected to a basketball GYM. we were trying to hang some pipe.. and the Wood boards were layed on the Studs like Joist i guess you could say.. with me having a piece of pipe on my shoulders i guess i step on the board wrong... then blem im going thru... because there wasnt board across the whole floor in the attic... but about a foot below the attic you could see the Cieling tile from the floor below... but we hang this pipe at a certain elevation so i know it was 14 ft

I've had something like that happen twice. First time we were remodeling a second floor aparment for old boss at one of his properties. Had the bathroom floor up, my foot slipped off the joist and my leg punched through. Got lucky and didn't hit my manhood, just tore up my thigh pretty good.

Second time we were replacing garage doors for my current employers father, and they had the angle running through the ceiling to the truss. We don't backhang like that anymore, so Im up there taking it out. I was crawling cause it was near the outer wall of the house. I was trying to hold my impact and the angle from falling down once I took the lags out while supporting myself on my elbows. My elbow slipped, and I busted through a little.
