actually no.....any phone is traceable.
my 3 year old phone was traceable, and I believe it was before that when they began that crap.

it is called E911

settings and tools>phone settings>Location

I have:

1. Language

2. Greeting

3. Extra Settings -> Turns Open to answer on/off

4. Airplane Mode

I have heard of that e911. I don't think all phones have it.

At least a couple years...I bought it used 2 years ago. It is the lowest featured cell phone Samsung offered. I think it was when they first started offering color screen as a feature...

yea, but that can only map you to an area, because it triangulates your location as an approximation using whatever towers you are connected to. if it doesnt have 3 towers the approximation is even worse.

the e911 feature uses GPS to find you within feet, as the article states.

How close does that get you? I assume that means it depends on this distance between the towers...
