MMA show seats are hit and miss because a lot of the action is in close quarters and the cage can get in the way. I go to a lot of Strikeforce and Elite XC shows at the HP Pavilion and I have learned the closest seats are not necessarily the best seats.

And the crowd definitely increases the intensity of the show. When I saw Frank Shamrock fight Phil Baroni and at another event when Shamrock fought Cung Le the events wouldn't have been half as entertaining without being there and feeling that collective rush from the crowd. Leaving the Shamrock/Le event my ears were actually ringing because the crowd was so loud. I have never experienced that ever. There is a give and take to seeing MMA live.

As for this show, better hope the ref's aren't punks about the rules. I heard there was a lot of negotiating that went on with the Athletic comission there about the rules. You maybe seeing some uber-strict refs.
