Woofersect.com and acaraudio.com....

Yeah it does, it's called advertising. This site gets paid for puting up their link.

They say nothing about caraudio.com on there it's either acaraudio.com or "a caraudio.com"... Where does it say anything about this caraudio.com?
ok, read the thing, it says CARAUDIO[DOT]COM, not Acaraudio[dot]com

and getting paid for banenrs DOES NOT MEAN we are AFFILIATED WITH THEIR SALES PRACTICES AND\OR THEIR WARANTEE SERVICE

now stop being an idiot.

It actually says

It has come to our attention again that a company known as Woofers etc. and A Caraudio.com is selling Zapco products on the Internet.
but okay okay... I'm done. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

Either way the person who typed that up really needed to check their work before posting it. Quite a few spelling/grammatical errors... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

This is just another one of those problems that is not going to go away. The price diff between legit and unauthorized dealers is FAR to great. In one instance the diff between an authorized and unauthorized dealer for a Kar 900.1 was 3 HUNDY. I and many others cannot justify spending that much extra money for just the warranty and a few serial numbers. Just think what you could do with 300 extra dollars. My question is how can these companies be aware of the price difference and still be surprised that this is happening?

Before I went to this forum, I didn't think any car audio products were returnable. Whether I bought them online or in a store, I just figured "as-is". Who is gonna take back a speaker that blew?

ANyways, I am one of those that can't justify the cost of buying from an authorized dealer. I am also curious how one place can offer a product so much cheaper if it is the same product. I am sure some people have investigated to ensure that the products are what they say they are. Furthermore, it would seem quite difficult to replicate the design on amps and subs. I am unsure if there are "generic" for each style of product like there is in medicine. It would seem that the MSRP is a form of price fixing. I think there are laws against the setting a certain price in which things can be sold; ie price fixing. It should be a wake-up call to the industry that if they want to compete with unauthorized, they must lower the prices.

Also notice that Infinity products usually have the least difference between authorized and unauthorized. Some brands are roughly 1/2 price.

so does this mean its not a very good choice to do some business with wooferect? planning to get some IDMAX there... being on the other side of the globe, its quite a hassle to send money/tt or items back and forth... is there any other reputable online dealer?

I agree it's better if ur buying from a authorized dealer, but sometimes u get so much better prices when u dont have to buy at MSRP prices for "authorized" Woofers Etc. is pretty reputiable if their authorized by Brax and Helix, and this was proven. Alot of places arn't authorized, it's so hard to find higher end stuff at an authorized site without paying so much more. I personaly think it's okay to buy from these sites, as long as the product is the same. In the end woofer's etc and acaraudio.com had to get Zapco products from someone effliated with zapco or sells zapco products (unless its stolen -_-) so in the end zapco get's the money for the product they sell anyways, most of those site's offer thier own warrnty's because thier not authorized. So I think for the money it's better to buy from sites like that, but everyone has their own opinions.

I got my IDMax from http://www.mmxpress.com/id.html and I must say I didn't have any problems at all with it (cept when I actuadently messed up my amp and blew the sub). It was the newer version of the IDMax as well (double stack magnets). So Like I said, I dont think it's wrong to buy from unauthorized sites, as long as their trustworthy and have a good reputation.
