Wood or PVC?

I'm going to start working on my front stage and since I own a Cavalier, I must buy a 4x6 to 6.5 Adapter. My qestion is which would you guys use, MDF or PVC rings? Only diffrence in price is the shipping. Thanks

I would go with MDF rings and then seal them with something. If these are going in your doors MDF absorbs water and they swell to nearly twice their original size. I coated mine in Second Skin Spectrum.
