Wood filler to fill gap in box? yay or nay

I was wondering if its ok to use wood filler to fill up a gap in my box im building. The bottom of the face is angle cut and the angle is just a tad off so i was gonna fill the 1/8 gap with some elmers wood filler i picked up. The face is sealed to about half of the way up then the angle throws it off. Says it resists cracking and shrinking and whatnot so will this be good?

i went along the edges of the inside of my box with titebond and it seemed to seal it up good. Can i do silicone over that?

Ive still gotta seal the faceplate of the box and cut and mount the 2 sides though.

what kind of silicone should i get

That is goig to be a weak spot in the box.Wood filler isn't going to help any but fill the void.If anything at least put an adhesive in there to hold it together!Like mentioned earlier wood glue and saw dust work good or use liquid nails.Getting flamed for using it is the least of your worries here;)
