If women understood the way that a guy's mind works, they would probably completely freak out. When you ask a guy what's wrong and he says "nothing," that probably means there is nothing bothering him. On the other hand, when a woman says "nothing," then you have to sit there for half an hour arguing about the fact that there is something bothering her before she'll admit it. If you don't do that, she'll think you're an insensitive prick. Yet if a woman keeps arguing that they think something is bothering a guy, when in fact nothing is wrong, it will cause them to think the guy is shutting them out and not communicating. This is what brings about the "we need to talk about the relationship," kind of talks, wherein nothing ever makes any sense to the guy, because as far as he's concerned, there is no problem. This causes more problems. It's all because the word "nothing" does not have the same meaning for the two sexes. Frankly, I think we'd all be better off if we stopped trying to figure each other out and just accepted each other as highly illogical, totally insane creatures. This way, there won't be any fights over miscommunications like the "nothing" syndrome.
