Woman sued for smoking in her apartment

I still want to see the evidence of public second hand smoke ****ing lungs up, I really do. How do you study randomness? Cases like Scooby's are the minority.

This case is a ****ing joke, and I hope a court sees it as that. The building states smoking is allowed. What the **** is there to ***** about? The woman has been a long time tenant, and was obviously willing to use HER money to make it better for the asswipes. People these days. Want everything for nothing. Like people who bought the houses near the dragstrip because of the lower prices, then *****ed to have the dragstrip shut because of the noise. *sigh*

People are so ****!ng stupid. A lawsuit over some cigarette smoke is like suing the guy that busts ***, or the guy that has the car burning oil, or the factory down the road, or the garbage left out by the curb.

They all smell bad, but what makes the person smoking so much worse?

If YOU think that smelling a cigarette is hurting your health, then you need to wear a respirator at ALL times, because theres ALL KINDS of pollutants in the air, and that brief moment of smelling a cig will make NO DIFFERENCE!

If you think it does, then you're better off killing your self now rather than "suffering!"

I like it...way to garner up attorney's fees for nothing. Free advertising for the lawyers on such a small case...they should be happy.
true
smoking is such a waste of money for all you smokers think how much better your setup could be if you didnt smoke! lets say average 3.50 a pack thats less but times that by each pack then time it by each month! **** bye bye money!
It may be a waste, but it's what they want to do.
good for them, if i shared a common hallway and it smelled like smoke i would do the same thing
That's being unreasonable.
if they can smell it at all they should complain, maybe she should rent or buy a house if she cant kick her nasty habit
Ridiculous
they arent the ones making life difficult, she is
if she cant keep the smell 100% in her apartment she should leave
No they are. It is not in their domain. Public areas should be governed by the owner not the renters. The renters help the owners make the decision by staying or leaving.
Advice for you since you seem like you can easily be an unreasonable neighbor is to get a lot of land in the middle of no where //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Do I enjoy smoke? no, but I don't feel I have the right to govern where smoke goes out in the open. Inside my home or residence is one thing, but this is ridiculous.

I'm all for the lady being sued if you can smell it in the hallyway, *******.... I have neighbors that smoke outside and the hallway smells every mornin, maybe I should sue them ... hmmm

nah actually it is because i was born with normal lungs, but because my parents locked me in a closet as an infant with my older sister while they had huge parties with tons of smoke my little lungs were damaged for life by cigarette smoke
thankfully the state took us away and i was adopted by a great family, but i still have very bad asthma because of it and have to carry an inhaler everywhere i go

thats why i hate smokers if you must know my reasoning

I thought i was born with perfect lungs, until i got asthma years back. My parents didn't smoke nor was I near any smokers long enough for it to matter. Who do I hate?

I hate smoke as well, I've never put a cigarrete in my mouth. I love that they banned smoking in restaurants around here, when I am eating, I hate to have smoke around or the smell of smoke in the air.

That being said, if the apartment allows smoking, then whoever stays in that apartment should be prepared to deal with it. I understand complaints if smoke was entering THEIR apartment, but the hallway is a public domain and the owner has already declared smoking allowed. If they felt smoke was that dangerous and hated it that much, why choose to stay in a place that allows smoking.

Blame your genetics, as that's likely the biggest factor for having asthma. Although, there is much debate on whether or not people that do not have the genetic deficiency causing asthma can actually develop it due to certain environmental factors (not just as an infant/child, but well into adulthood, as well).

There are many different substances that can trigger an asthma attack, such as pet dander, dust, chemical fumes, or tobacco smoke.

To point out the obvious, not all people with asthma are effected by the same trigger substances. E.G.- one person might be asthmatically sensitive to pet dander and not tobacco smoke while another person is asthmatically sensitive to tobacco smoke but not pet dander.
