To hell w/ deer season.

I would rather hunt dove, rabbit, squirrel, duck, and turkey.

I have hunted deer all my life, and I like it. But only when I hunt a climber. I usually scout early in the fall while squirrel hunting. I will hunt a fixed stand or box stand, but I'm just not into it anymore. If I want deer meat, I'll just shoot a doe, you can't eat antlers. But I do love killing a nice buck from time to time.

The travel and scouting that squirrel and turkey hunting offer is so much more fun. Just walking in the woods all over new territory and checking ground from years past give you alot of time to forget about the daily grind. Not just sat on the stand and not do chit watching the wind blow.

There is NOTHING like dove hunting though. Far more active and exciting.

Hell, opening day we usually take at least 250 birds and have a hell of a time. Nothing like 15guys on a major fly-way w/ 12ga shotguns. Dropping birds all evening long.

Btw, dove season opens SOON!

Gotta get out and shoot some skeet to dust off the rust and clean my 11-87.

(on a side note, no rust on my gun...keep that chit clean)
