New to the car audio, buddy gave me an old sub, so I figure I will throw it in my truck for the last little while I have it so heres whjat i got and the question.

The sub is a 15" 400W, 4 Ohms. I have a Pioneer DEH 1300 CD Deck, now say I wanna buy a sony explode amp(what i been glancing at.there cheap.) 760W, and I am gonna leave my speakers(2) hooked up directly to my deck, what would I go about doing to get good punch but good sound too. in terms of Ohms and bridging and such.steroe or mono? i dunno. also is the amp i said gonna be able to give me ONLY bass outta the sub with that crazy Low pass thing, because i hooked it up for about 2 minutes to my home system just to mess around and check it out and there was treble comin out and made it sound kinda crappy with little bass. so what to do?

If that sony is the one I'm thinking of it put's out 380w mono at 4ohm. Which might be a little too much power for the sub. But you can try it and see. The instructions that come with the amp will tell you how to hook the amp up. And it will also give you a diagram of which terminals to use to bridge the amp. And yes the low pass crossover should take care of the vocals coming from the sub. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
