Wiring Question

I am about to run a dual amp setup with 2 a3000db's. I already have a fuse after my battery so is it allright to just connect 2 4 gauge power wires from each amp to the 0 gauge wire from the battery with electical tape? I don't want to start any fires or anything. Thanks

alright thanks. Is that just too much power to use electrical tape with? Its alright for like sub wire right? Do i just use a plain distribution block without a fuse because the highest fuse i've seen for one is 100 amps. Thanks

x2 electrical tape not good in that case, but can be used on speaker wires

It's just not safe. If the electrical tape gets hot, and undoes itself... your power wire hits metal and grounds out... you'll blow the fuse (hopefully), but you risk setting your **** car on fire. Buy ANL fuses for the 0 gauge, they come in up to 300 amps... maybe more. I use AGU fuses for 4 gauge though.

the opne at walmart comes with fuses //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rotflol.gif.b453361716769b8110ddefc85ff03cd2.gif trust me and i woul try your best to stay away from tape in general unless you can't try using crimp rings and connectors but yes electrical tape is fine sometimes but never ever with power ground or rem NEVER no matter how much power the amp is it's still pulling 12 or more volts

alright thanks...but that brings up another question. How do i split the rem wire without tape?

eh get a connector you know with the 2 sides you crimp put one end in one side the put the two seperate wires into the other end then crimp then your set
