Wiring 3 subs....... HELP

BRWRONG.
Efficiency is the ability of the subwoofer to convert input power to output sound with an amount lost due to heat/friction. Input power is dependent on the wiring.

Say all the woofers are wired to 4 ohms, and then all parallel to the amp. Each woofer is going to get exactly 1/3 of the power output of the amp. The amount of heat lost and sound output will be determined by the sub's efficiency.

The issue is that the subs can't be wired that easily... SVC's and a DVC

I'm really pushing him to get 2 more 1508's instead of the SSD

I was just using that as an example of power distribution to explain efficiency.

Either way don't mix subs, and to the post 2 above, enclosures either. Impedances should never be mixed as well.

Its as simple as: Identical subs, one size enclosure. Done.

so my friend went to the shop today to throw this idea at the installers - they said it was gonna work really well and be really loud... is this place completely stupid?

the ssd is supposedly a dual 4

in order for him to get a 1 ohm load w/3 subs it has to be therefore it will draw more of the load
