Wireless Home Theater.. xmas present for my mom.

I'm trying to find a decent home theater set up for my mom for her Christmas present. Was planning on splitting the price with my uncle, but I don't exactly have a set limit yet. I would like a 5.1 set up, and maybe wireless, if it's not too expensive.

Like I said, no price limit yet, but I would like to keep it between 200-600. More towards the low end though. When we're talking wireless, how expensive do the prices get?

Any help is appreciated!

Why not go with the single-box "surround" systems like:

Soundmatters Mainstage

Zvox Mini/315/325

Niro (high-end)

Sharp SD-Sp10 (okay, three boxes)

These are ultra-simple, have no speakers wires and actually sound very good.

Well, if wireless is out of the question, I don't mind getting her the original set up with 2 fronts, 2 rears and a center. It was just an idea that my uncle suggested, and told me to look into it for the prices on them.

As far as the quality, I don't need it crazy loud. Just something that will get the job done, and sound better than the speakers that come in the LCD TVs.

for the same price, wired speakers are going to sound alot better than wireless. i built a very decent 2.1 setup for 350 bucks, but i got the speakers for free from my uncle. just look around, and you can get some decent stuff without breakin the bank
