Wire size to battery?

Ok I've been running 1 amp at 600 watts for my speakers and have 8ga knukoncepts wire running to the battery for that

then i have a nother amp running at 850 watts for the sub and i also have another run of 8ga to the battery for that. If i run the amp at 2ohms and throw another sub in there the amp will be pushing 1550 watts, would it be terrible if i dont upgrade to 0 or 4ga wiring?

yes. you WILL NOT see anywhere near 1500w on 8ga wire.

what amp/sub are you looking at/running?

yes, atleast 4...id say 0 because you will want to upgrade later

a Clarion DPX11551 amp and i currently have 1 15" MB Quart pwe 352 sub Planning on installing a second one soon though.

Also, this setup is somewhat temporary, I plan on buying a new car in about 6 or 7 months, so i don't wanna spend too much money on stuff i cant switch to a new car.

Would i get the full power if i only use 4ga? Trying to make it cheap as possible.

Also, I'm gonna order the wire probably 2morrow so i'll get that before i get the second sub and i'm just gonna run it on my day off. If i connect my setup to the 0ga wire, you think i'd have to reset my gains?

Probably not. But 4g woulda been fine unless you plan on upgrading again
