There is also a thing called education and learning, and maybe realization that a person was wrong.
I would HOPE that some of the people in our recent past who were all for segregation and unequal treatment of black people, came around and learned the error of their ways.
It can happen.

And I'd hope it wasn't just a winning strategy (racial equality OR treating homosexuals as humans, or both).
Even if it is/was, I'll take it over the "wining" strategy of endless lies to the American public, false claims of stolen elections, an attempted to coup to ACTUALLY steal the vote, multiple impeachments, indictments, etc.

Maybe Biden learned something, maybe he just doing the polically expedient thing. 90s Biden was DINO, a broker, much like McCain was for GOP. 2022 Biden is about as far left as gets within the Dem party. When it comes to politicians, I generally assume they are being political. Personally, I like 90s Biden more than 2022 Biden, although I don't there is nearly the climate for political compromise today as there was in decades past.
